Free Countdown Timer for OBS, Twitch and YouTube Streams
Add a beautiful, fully-customizable countdown timer to your live stream in under a minute. Works in OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, vMix and any tool that supports a Browser Source. No plugin, no install, no signup.
Why Streamers Choose FullScreenCountdown
One URL, zero plugins
Most OBS countdown plugins require a download, an install, and a restart of OBS. FullScreenCountdown is a pure browser-side app — paste a URL into a Browser Source and the timer is live in your scene in 60 seconds.
Chroma key built-in
Pick the Chroma Dark theme for a green background or Chroma Light for blue. Pair it with OBS's built-in chroma key filter for a clean overlay on any stream layout.
Transparent background option
Paste one line of Custom CSS in the OBS Browser Source and the background becomes fully transparent, regardless of theme. Perfect for overlay scenes where you only want the digits.
Mirror mode for camera-front setups
For on-camera teleprompter setups where the timer reflects off a half-silvered mirror, enable Mirror Mode to flip the digits horizontally. The viewer's reflection reads correctly.
Shareable timer URLs
Run your countdown on a tablet while you stream. Share the URL with mods so they can start, pause or reset from anywhere. Every setting — duration, theme, autoplay — is encoded in the link.
Confetti end-of-stream
End your stream with a built-in confetti celebration. Set it as an end-of-timer action and viewers see the colourful burst the moment the timer hits zero. Great for stream milestones.
Add the Timer to OBS in 5 Steps
Configure your timer
Open fullscreencountdown.com and set your countdown duration. Pick a chroma theme, enable audio alerts, configure auto-repeat for loops, or set a target timestamp for stream starting soon.
Copy the URL
The URL now contains every setting: theme, duration, autoplay flag, mirror flag, and any subtitle. Copy the full page address from your browser's address bar.
Add an OBS Browser Source
In OBS Studio, click the + in the Sources dock and choose Browser. Paste the URL, set width to 1920 and height to 1080 (or match your canvas). Click OK.
Apply chroma key or transparency
If you picked a chroma theme, add a Chroma Key filter to the Browser Source. If you want full transparency, paste this Custom CSS: body { background: transparent !important; }
Start your timer on stream
Open the same URL in another browser tab or use the mini remote control to start the countdown. Your viewers see the timer immediately in the stream overlay.
